2006 - FRANCESRAY JULES FUN FACTS...

• We grew up a little, we moved on July 27th, from our original location on Canal Street to a 1700 square foot space two streets over onto Portland Street, adding 2 more styling stations, an additional nail station and an esthetic room for facials, waxing and massage.
  
  
• We attended the “Barkball” charity event at Neimen’s for the second year in a row, helping to raise funds for lymphoma and cancer research by providing hair & makeup for 6 models.
  
  
• Ben & Renae match hair with makeup for the launch of LaPari Cosmetics.
  
  
• Danielle delivered a healthy baby girl on June 15, 2006. Aubrey Lee is a beautiful addition to the DiRusso Family.
  
  
• While Ben mourned the loss of his extremely enlarged appendix, the staff ran wild…Just kidding. Ben was out for about six weeks and Danielle & staff did a great job holding down the fort.
  
  
• Our Somerville location closed its doors in October when Worlds Gym changed to Planet Fitness.
  
  
• Did you Notice our color scheme changed with our new location, we went from pinks and purples to blues and neutrals…why you ask? Cool and neutral colors better compliment skin and hair tones.
  
  
• Marta, one of our talented senior stylists provided hair & makeup for the cover model on the program for the Park Plaza Hotels huge New Years Eve Gala.
  
  
• Look out New York; the entire FRJ staff flaunted their Boston accents at the International Beauty Show in April.
  
  
• Michelle our top nail tech pulled a late night on site at local hotel to give Fergie, lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas a pedicure and an acrylic fill. To top her experience, Michelle’s polish job was featured on Fergie’s new album cover!
  
  
• Our team of talented makeup artists launched “Girls Night Out Makeup Parties” for parties of 4 or more. The parties were such a success we plan to continue them as an ongoing event.
  
  
• Ever wonder our what you the clients buy the most? Here is a list of our top 5 selling products for 2006. In at #1 is Techniques Thermal Brush (sizes 450 & 390), #2 Aquage Equalizing Detangler, #3 Farouk Biosilk, #4 Aquage Color Preserve Shampoo, and finally at #5 Wella Color Preserve Hydrating Shampoo.
  
  
• For the 5th year in a row we helped raise money to support Blessed Sacrament Winterguard of Cambridge with a very successful Cut-A-Thon.
  
  
• 2006 brought us a brides galore, we averages at least 1-2 (sometimes even 3) bridal parties a weekend during peak wedding season, bringing our total brides to about 60+. That’s a lot of hairspray & bobby pins!

• Our new Somerville Location just celebrated its First Birthday on April 14, 2006.
  
  
• Our entire staff donated hair & makeup services on models in a lingerie show supporting the tsunami relief fund event at Umbria in 2005
  
  
• FrancesRay Jules Salon helped raise money for the Faulkner Imaging and Diagnostic Centre
  
  
• FRJ is a preferred salon for Neiman Marcus
